Individual Items:
You can submit standalone emergency preparedness products such as firestarters, water filters, flashlights, emergency blankets, tourniquets, radios, multi-tools, first aid kits, and other gear designed for survival or disaster response. Each item will be evaluated independently using our 7-category scoring system.
Complete Kits:
You may also submit full kits—such as go-bags, earthquake kits, blackout kits, or wildfire evacuation packs. In these cases, each item in the kit must first pass individual evaluation. Once all items meet certification standards, the complete kit will undergo a final evaluation to assess its overall functionality, redundancy, and real-world readiness.
Products are reviewed by a three-person evaluation board that currently meets on a quarterly basis. During an active review period, the certification process may take up to 7 to 10 business days. The exact timeline may vary depending on the number of submissions under review during that cycle. We will be completely transparent during the the evaluation process.
Individual Items:
If an individual product does not meet Red Line Certification standards, you will receive a detailed evaluation report outlining which scoring categories need improvement. You may revise the product and resubmit it for another review.
Complete Kits:
If a complete kit does not meet certification standards, the report will indicate whether the issue lies with specific components or with the overall performance of the kit during final scoring. You may replace or improve any items that did not meet individual evaluation, and once all components meet the standard, you can resubmit the full kit for final assessment.
Yes — but it depends on the outcome of your evaluation.
Eligible for resubmission:
If your product does not meet certification standards but demonstrates overall potential and scores within a reviewable threshold, you will receive a detailed evaluation report. In this case, you are eligible to revise and resubmit the same product within 6 months of the original evaluation date. This allows time to make targeted improvements based on the feedback provided.
Not eligible for resubmission:
If your product does not meet the minimum certification standards and falls significantly below the required scoring threshold, it will be classified as not eligible for resubmission. This status indicates the product is not currently suitable for Red Line Certification and must undergo substantial redesign or replacement before being considered again under a new submission.
Absolutely! You can submit multiple individual products or complete kits for certification.
